The annual Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL) Conference was a huge success with jam-packed educational sessions and expo hall. Held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, March 13-15, 2024, the 48th Annual MACUL Conference attracted thousands of school staff interested in learning about the latest tech tools and strategies.
While experiencing a Centric Learning platform demo, our booth visitors enjoyed one of our famous chocolate chip cookies and entered to win a Yeti cooler. The Centric team (Michelle, Brett, Julian, Beth and Glen) would like to thank everyone who stopped by!

Educational Session
Kicking off Thursday morning, Centric’s director of Development, Brett Emil, explored the benefits of PBL and competency-based assessment in alternative education using real-world applications during an educational session “Project-Based Learning at the Speed of Life,” focusing on at-risk students.
Co-presenter Alecia Hickman, Program Director at Watervliet Public Schools, shared how they partner with Centric Learning to enhance student learning. Their program utilizes a blended approach with a physical location, where Centric online teachers grade student work, while Watervliet staff support students in the courses.
