The Push for PBL

By Jeremy Johnson, Director of Sales and Marketing, Centric Learning

If you would have asked me what PBL stood for before entering the education software sector, I would have guessed “Peanut Butter Lunches”?

Ok, so I am not an educator!  Many of you already know it stands for Project-Based Learning, but what is that exactly and why is there a huge movement currently for PBL to be integrated into education curriculums?

Did You Know?

Federal and State Grants Can Be Used for Centric Learning Solutions?

It’s true!  We work with all types of grants!  Education grants offer several powerful benefits, making them a valuable resource for schools, teachers, and programs aiming to improve student learning and outcomes especially in alternative programs! The issue is…how does one know if my school has grants for my specific program?  It’s a question that we get asked a lot.  We would be honored to talk with your school/program grant coordinator to get PBL into YOUR program!  Below is just a small sample of funding grants that cover our solutions.

Where Will We Be Next?

Meet the Centric Team

Robert has been in education for 13 years. He’s taught history in Dallas public schools, hospitality to flight attendants and airport crew, and leadership to executives and managers. He’s written curriculum for various K-12 online learning programs. His favorite thing about PBL is the creativity, both in lesson planning and in student output. Robert lives in Texas with his wife, dog, usually a foster dog, snake, and tarantula. Oh, and if you need a history book recommendation, he’s got you.
