“Centric Learning will open many doors for me in the future” by Eduarda Gueiros

Online school always seemed distant from my reality until a teacher from my old school announced Centric Learning in my classroom. I was only thirteen and became interested in joining this program since I wanted to develop my English. I am really glad I decided to do so.

At first, I remember I was insecure about working on my projects and doing online work in general. But, when the pandemic came, I finally understood how Centric Learning could connect me with people even virtually. Apart from this, every time I needed support, I could count on my teacher and the staff because they were reliable and always there, so I started gaining the strength to work on my own.

As time passed, I discovered many new subjects and worked on skills as a consequence of working in a virtual environment. Two examples of aptitudes I ended up acquiring were autonomy and persistence. Sometimes, it can be hard to remain focused on the same ambiance that you spend your free time, but with the right amount of incentive, you learn how to do so.

Along with that, Centric Learning will open many doors for me in the future. With it, I have the opportunity to choose rather I would like to study in Brazil or another country. Distance education helped me see that the world is wider than I thought and it is all available to me depending on the amount of effort I put in.

Altogether, High School online working was a unique experience. I never thought I would learn as much as I did and change as much as I did during this season of my life. This phase will always be remembered with joy in my heart and gratefulness for being able to conclude it.
