“I am intensely interested in Centric Learning because of its project-based and collaborative learning” Felipe Bordalo

“I feel included and trusted here” by Damian Smith

My name is Felipe, and I am a Brazilian High School student. I like to study Sciences and Math and I
started making projects in order to better understand how things work. I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,
and I started and finished my presential and online course from this location. I decided to enroll in Centric
Learning when I was in the middle of my 10th year in High School, and I was 15 years old. Since then, I
have been studying in Centric Learning for the last 3 years.

I wanted to experience a project-based approach School, and I decided to join Centric Learning because it
had classes in my Brazilian High School and other students from my class were attending the course. I
realized that it was a great opportunity to develop my skills, improve my English and learn new important
issues. In the beginning I had presential classes, and it was great to know Dave, my teacher. During the years I started in online classes, and I never imagined that it was so easy to adapt to them.

It all begins when I was young, and I started to apply some electronic and coding skills to the small
projects I created. Afterwards, I was getting self-confident and fascinated in solving some ordinary issues
at home: like an automatic pet feeder using Bluetooth and an automatic watering for plants. I want to
continue working in projects using automation with Arduino and Raspberry Pi applications and getting
involved in real life research to share my project with the maker community. Now I feel that my goal
challenge is to test new technologies for launching and planning new projects in order to always
make something new, even just testing some new communication technology, new sensor or even to
improve old projects that will make the world a better place to live.

And to improve my skills, I think that it is important to pursue a good education and to aspirate a top
university, and I understand that to achieve these goals it is necessary to study in a School who has the
know-how and experience like Centric Learning, and that is what I like so much this School. The
Project-Based approach helped me get to this objective as I could get even more experience in engaging
in studies with challenges and problems that belong to the real world. It was very exciting to study at
Centric Learning, as I had the chance to understand the world we live in and how it developed in recent
years.

As an aspiring studying abroad student, I am intensely interested in Centric Learning because of its
project-based projects and collaborative learning. I was able to learn many new issues about American
History, Economy, Social Sciences and how to do better research, speeches and reports. I worked with
Dave, who was a great teacher and very friendly and kind. He has exceptional knowledge and could help
in every difficulty I had. The Project Learning Approach was important for me, mainly because I learned
how to use relevant database and I was able to adapt my schedule to the course,
